Holly Elvrum brings precision, energy, and a strong customer focus to her role as an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist at DealerBuilt. Whether she’s answering customer billing questions, posting payments, or updating accounts with new products and pricing, Holly’s goal is to keep everything running like clockwork, and keep customers happy.
On any given day, Holly manages a variety of tasks:
- Responding to billing inquiries
- Sending invoices
- Processing incoming payments
- Updating account information
- Generating monthly revenue reports
- She’s also proactive about outreach, calling and emailing customers to ensure timely payments and smooth communication.
What drew Holly to this role? A love of numbers, problem-solving, and helping people. She’s always enjoyed the behind-the-scenes work in the auto industry, and this position lets her combine all of that in one place.
For Holly, the most exciting part of the job is the variety.
“There’s never a dull moment,” she says. “Each day brings a new challenge, and the chance to support both customers and teammates.”
She was also drawn to DealerBuilt for the people and the culture. “I’d heard great things about the team and the work atmosphere,” Holly says. “I liked the size of the company and knew I wanted to be a part of it.”
Her advice for new hires?
“Take the time to learn the job, the people, and the vision. It might feel like a lot at first, but it’s absolutely worth it, and it’s a lot of fun once you settle in.”
A fun fact about Holly? She lives and works remotely from a mountainside village in Tanzania, Africa! Where elephants sometimes stroll by at night and weekend Serengeti trips are totally doable. What started as a bold life move (she and her husband sold everything and moved abroad) turned into a full-circle moment with DealerBuilt. She had planned to leave the company, but stayed on to help train her replacement who, fun twist, was also from Tanzania! When that person moved on, Holly was offered her role back full-time!
Her take?
“Working remote from across the globe has been a dream, and even better with a team that works hard, supports each other, and has fun along the way.”
Outside of work, Holly is all about balance. You might find her out for a run, working on a home project, or curled up on the couch with her husband and their eight dogs (yes, eight!). She also loves to travel and recharge with life’s simple pleasures.
