Meet THE PEOPLE BEHIND DEALERBUILT
At DealerBuilt, our greatest asset isn’t our technology, it’s the talented, passionate people driving it forward every day.
That’s why we created this blog series to shine a light on the team members who power our company. Through candid conversations and personal stories, we’re sharing a behind-the-scenes look at their roles, career journeys, and the real impact they make on our customers, our culture, and each other.
Let’s dive in!
At DealerBuilt, it’s the people who power everything, and Caylor is a prime example. As a Customer Support Manager, Caylor leads multi high-preforming teams across Accounting, Sales F&I, iService, and Parts & Service Support. His focus is to deliver top-notch service, helping his team solve challenges quickly, and making sure our customers get the support they deserve every step of the way.
Caylor’s day starts with reviewing performance reports from all teams, analyzing the previous day’s data to ensure we’re meeting SLAs, maintaining strong customer communication, and tracking ticket volume. Throughout the day, he stays closely involved supporting his teams as challenges come up, monitoring reports and phone queues, and making sure everyone stays aligned with both new and existing processes so they can deliver the best service possible.
His journey in the auto industry started early. Caylor got his start detailing cars at his family’s dealership when he was 12. Since then, he’s done a bit of everything: technician, service writer, manager, and even sales. That hands-on experience helped him gain an understanding of exactly what our customers need and how our software fits into real dealership life.
Every day, Caylor’s job brings something new. From analyzing reports, guiding his teams, jumping in when challenges come up, and making sure they’re all aligned on process and performance. He loves the fast pace, the variety, and the chance to keep learning and growing alongside our customers.
Outside of work, Caylor is all about family, cars, and staying active, whether he’s gaming with my kids, building and racing cars, or enjoying some quiet time fishing. For anyone new to DealerBuilt, Caylor’s advice is this: show up, stay curious, and be consistent. If you do that, you’ll go far, and you won’t have to do it alone.
